As of December 1999, Microvalue AG (a well established investment fund, quoted in Zürich stock exchange with market value of around CHF 600M, Valor: 729154) has made a major investment of about 20% in FASTCOM Technology SA. FASTCOM will benefit from the synergies with the high-tech companies in Microvalue’s technology-rich portfolio (including: Micronas, Phonak & Gretag Imaging), and reciprocally contribute to their sustainable growth.  more info here

Successful first-round financing for a technology start-up
A member of the APTE Association found the best investor for its first round of financing in another member. Our expertise in technology and technology management, our knowledge of the market and our ability to bring the right people together were the decisive elements in making this happen. Microvalue AG, after our initial proposal, carried out very detailed due diligence in a very short time thanks to the confidence the partners could have in each other because of the contacts and know-how put at their disposal by the APTE Association. A spin-off of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology EPFL in Lausanne, Fastcom Technology Inc., has now received the substantial financing it needed to get its promising, worldwide business off the ground.

A well-known business school Graduate School of Business Administration GSBA/State University of New York SUNY invited our members to take part, free of charge (instead of CHF 1200!), in a presentation of the newest research in the area of business administration at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETHZ in Zurich.

The Swiss Stock Market went to Neuchâtel!
The SWX New Market is a new segment of the Swiss stock exchange especially designed for rapidly growing Swiss and foreign companies. The APTE Association arranged for representatives of this group to travel to the Centre Suisse d'Electrinique et de Microtechnique SA CSEM in Neuchâtel, where they presented the new market, met with CSEM and Xemics SA top representatives and were finally treated to a reception with the cantonal representatives of trade and economic development.
