1. New cooperation: We are very pleased to announce our intensi-
fied collaboration with First Tuesday Zurich, Geneva, Lausanne
and Basel. Direct links to their respective sites can be found
on the entry page of our website. All First Tuesday events are
taking place regularly except for First Tuesday Basel which will
re-launch shortly. APTEinfo will keep you informed on all First
Tuesday offerings.
2. New cooperation: We will be working very closely with the
Innovation Relay Centre D/CH (IRC), a new development of the
Swiss Export + Trade organisation. The Swiss Innovation Relay
centres in Lausanne and Zurich offer small and medium-sized
companies access to the newest European technologies via
240 IRC offices in thirty European countries. We will shortly
be hosting an IRC page on our site.

3. Networking: First Tuesday Zurich will take place at the

6. Videoconference: Entrepreneurship will be the topic of a
live videoconference on April 26, at 3 p.m., at the EPFL in
Lausanne. Professors from Canada, France, Belgium and
Switzerland will discuss relevant issues for a three hour
period. The conference will be repeated on Internet on

8.Conference: IEEE-NANO'2001 is to take place on October 28-30
at Maui, Hawaii. It is the first IEEE conference on nano-
technology and is sponsored by the IEEE Committee on nano-

9. Conference: PHILIPPINES IT CONFERENCE AND CONTACT FORUM is

13. Gary Martini, director of the APTE Science Forum, and
Pascal Baillod have just published a scientific article in
the latest issue of Bioworld, an APTE member. APTE Associa-
tion is extending its focus to the field of biotechnology.
14. Dr. Harold Chipman has just published an article on
networking and APTE in the latest issue of the prestigious
Revue Economique Franco Suisse, edited by our partner,
