Basel 1999: The World Watch, Clock and Jewellery Show from April 29 to May 6, 1999. Each year, approximately 75'000 visitors from 40 countries attend the World Watch, Clock and Jewellery Show in Basel, Switzerland, the largest international watch event in the world. Within four 3-storey buildings, nearly 2500 exhibitors from 39 countries present the world's finest watches and clocks, finished jewelry, gemstones, jewelry manufacturing equipment and related products. The Messe Basel is investing some CHF 300 million to upgrade the infrastructure of its fairgrounds. For Basel 99 mostly important is the new hall complex in Building 1. To replace the existing hall complex in Building 1 a new, two-storey hall complex is being built between the front building and hall 106. This new addition, that measures 210 by 90 meters, provides a total of about 36,000 square meters of gross exhibition space. Fitted with state-of-the-art technology, this architecturally appealing construction has everything that exhibiting firms and visitors alike could possibly wish for in a future-oriented fairs building.

Personal contacts lead to decisions. The new Ineltec has everything it takes to prove this point: a host of decision-making visitors, highly-qualified suppliers, significant innovations, the latest products and technologies. In short: Ineltec is an outstanding platform for contacts, preliminary negotiations and purchasing decisions. And, last but not least, for you to check out the competition. For the first time, Ineltec 99 will present every aspect of industrial electronics, including all the steps that come just before or just after the actual electronics. Design and development: This area is the perfect platform for all those offering services and solutions for the development and design of electronic components. Components: Successful solutions would be impossible without innovative and efficient micro-controllers, memory chips, opto-electronic components, semi-conductors, displays and electromechanical components (to name but a few indispensable items). After all, a successful product is more than just the sum of its parts! That's why you should certainly present your products at Ineltec 99. Production technology and services: Streamlined, financially viable and efficient production technologies and methods are all-important. This explains why suppliers of innovative solutions in the outsourcing sector - for example for printed circuit board production, soldering, bonding or welding technologies or cable processing - have a key advantage. The same holds true for all suppliers of manufacturing, production and assembly services, since they have the know-how their customers need! Measuring and testing technology: The entire electronic production process - from design and development, through production and assembly - would be inconceivable without efficient measuring and testing technology. After all, every production step must be monitored and controlled if quality is to be maintained. This explains why measuring technology, testing apparatus, tests and quality assurance are integral parts of the production process - at Ineltec 99, too!
Several members and partners of the APTE Association are exhibitors at Ineltec 99.
