YOUR GATEWAY TO THE SWISS
MICROTECHNOLOGY COMMUNITY
What is µTEC?
µTEC is a series of bilateral
meetings organized on the basis of the needs of large companies in the context
of an efficient and proven new style inter-industry relationship.
µTEC is designed to offer the
opportunity for a large number of international companies requiring specific
components, technology, sub-contracting work from small companies mostly SMEs
to meet with a number of those SMEs who may be able to provide the services or
components required. Similarly, this offers the SMEs access to several large
companies without multiple travel, advertising and marketing costs.
µTEC is organized by CENTREDOC
for a particular strategy sector in Microtechnology, an industrial sector well
present in Switzerland especially in the canton of Neuchâtel. Strategic areas
such as Advanced Materials, Automation, Bioengineering, Ceramic Components'
Manufacturing, Dies, Electrical & Electronical Technology, Food
Processing, Injection Molding, Instrumentation, Laser Equipment, Low Power
Integrated Circuits, Machinery, Measuring Techniques, Micro-electronics,
Micro-machining, Micro-molding, Micro-optics, Micro-systems, Optics,
Packaging, Recycling Technologies, Robotics, Sensors, Telecommunication, Time
Measuring Technology, Tribology, Vacuum Technologies, Wireless Communications,
etc.
µTEC is also a platform to do
Technology acquisitions, out-sourcing of Research & Development, or just
to improve business opportunities with leaders of Swiss Industries.
Negotiating of commercial agreements are also to be included.
µTEC will also provide the
opportunity to present their companies, products and services. CENTREDOC will
invite a number of large companies mostly from the EC to participate at µTEC.
These companies will forward their requirements through the use of the IBAR or
Industrial Business Activity Requirement form. The organizer will identify
Swiss companies matching these demands. When a potential match is found
between supply and demand the organizer will arrange for bilateral meetings
between both parties.
µTEC is made up of several
hundreds of well prepared, targeted bilateral meetings.
Fees. Large companies looking for
subcontractors in Switzerland will pay CHF 2000.- independently on the number
of meetings and days of presence. Swiss subcontractors, institutions will
benefit from a price structure depending on the amount of meetings and days of
presence.
